Headaches and Migraines
Headaches and Migraines can be caused by various reasons such as hormone imbalance, circulatory problems, stress, sugar imbalance, spine misalignments, and blood pressure concerns. The vast majority of migraine headaches may be due to colon congestion or poor digestion. Eyestrain and decreased vision, sensitivity to bright light, loud noise, nausea or vomiting also can accompany migraines. A migraine can cause severe throbbing pain or pulsing sensation, usually on the side of the head. Migraine attacks can last from hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with daily activities. For some, an aura can occur, which can include visual disturbances such as flashes of light or blind spots, tingling, or difficulty speaking.
Essential oils have been found to be just as effective in blocking pain from tension-type headaches as acetaminophen. The oils also promote circulation, reduce muscle spasms, and decrease inflammatory response. Used in conjunction with CBD oil, headache relief can be found with several oils including peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, copaiba, rosemary, basil, wintergreen, spearmint, lavender, and myrrh.
The ideal CBD dose for you usually depends primarily on your body weight, but it can also be influenced by other factors, such as your personal body chemistry, your age, and any other health conditions you have. Start with a low dose. Assess how you feel after 1 week of use. If required, adjust dosage weekly until you find your “sweet spot.”
